Es ist noch ein Monat bis Halloween.
Und damit – falls jemand gerade den Kalender nicht zur Hand hat – ein Monat minus einen Tag bis „Séance“, dem neuen Get Well Soon Album.
„Séance“, das „Gothic-Album“ (in Anführungszeichen) über KI, Geisterbeschwörung und die Frage, was passiert, wenn man Vergangenheit und Zukunft gleichzeitig um Rat fragt. Also die Toten und die Untoten.
Es erscheint am 30. Oktober, einen Tag vor Halloween.
Das mag den Anschein eines Evil Masterplans erwecken. Es wäre aber – Hand aufs Herz – das erste Mal in der Geschichte von Get Well Soon, dass wir so etwas auf die Reihe bekämen.
Also: Vielleicht wollte es eine übernatürliche Macht so. Bestimmt.
Jedenfalls erscheint „Séance“ rechtzeitig, damit ihr bei eurem nächsten Monster Mash mit frischem Sound einheizen könnt und nicht schon wieder ausschließlich „Monster Mash“ hören müsst.
NEUE SINGLE: „SIRI, WHAT RUINED THE WEST?“
Und schon heute erscheint eine neue Single aus „Séance“. Sie heißt „Siri, what ruined the West?“
Geht es euch auch so, dass sich die westliche Welt irgendwie gar nicht mehr so gemütlich anfühlt? Was ist denn nun mit dem versprochenen „Ende der Geschichte“? Was ist denn mit dieser „besseren Vergangenheit“, die es nie gab? „Siri, What Ruined the West?“ versucht, dem nachzugehen. Oder wenigstens, dem inneren Jammerlappen auf höchstem Niveau ein bisschen Herr zu werden. Dafür wurden historische Persönlichkeiten „beschworen“ (bzw. in der App Hello History angechattet). George Orwell, Hannah Arendt, Karl Marx, Marie Antoinette, Jesus, Kurt Cobain und einige mehr.
Was hat denn den Westen so ruiniert?
Die Antworten liefen erstaunlicherweise immer wieder auf dasselbe hinaus: Vielleicht ist es gar nicht das „zu wenig“, sondern das „zu viel“. Zu viel Information, Konsum, Meinung, Kommunikation – you name it. Kapitalismus und Social Media sind schuld? No shit, Sherlock! Deshalb gibt es im Songtext auch so viele Wörter mit „Over…“. Die Toten – und Kurt Cobain – sind sich einig.

good News!
It’s still one month until Halloween.
Which means – in case anyone doesn’t happen to have a calendar handy – one month minus one day until “Séance”, the new Get Well Soon album.
“Séance”, the “Gothic album” (in quotation marks) about AI, communicating with the dead, and what happens when you ask the past and the future for advice at the same time. The dead and the undead, that is.
It’s out on October 30, one day before Halloween.
This may give the impression of an evil masterplan. But, hand on heart, it would be the first time in Get Well Soon history that we managed to pull something like that off.
So: Maybe some supernatural force wanted it that way. Probably.
Anyway, “Séance” arrives just in time for you to spice up your next Monster Mash with some fresh sounds, instead of having to listen to “Monster Mash” yet again.
NEW SINGLE: “SIRI, WHAT RUINED THE WEST?“
Already today a new Single from „Séance“ is out. It’s called „Siri, what ruined the West?“
Do you ever get the feeling that the Western world doesn’t feel quite as cosy anymore? What happened to the promised “end of history”? And what about that “better past” that never actually existed? “Siri, What Ruined the West?” tries to get to the bottom of it. Or at least to get the inner whiner under control. For this, historical figures were “summoned” – by chatting with them on an app called Hello History. George Orwell, Hannah Arendt, Karl Marx, Marie Antoinette, Jesus, Kurt Cobain and several others.
So, what exactly ruined the West?
Surprisingly, the answers kept coming back to the same thing: Maybe it’s not so much about having “too little”, but having “too much”. Too much information, consumption, opinion, communication – you name it. Capitalism and social media are to blame? No shit, Sherlock! Which is why the lyrics contain an unusually high number of words beginning with “Over…”. The dead – and Kurt Cobain – agree.
“Siri, What Ruined the West?” is out October 2.
