As the great grand The Horror Tour went so well and it was all so much delightful, we decided to play some selected The Horror shows in 2019, again with the Get Well Soon Big Band of 14 people. We start out with something close to our heart.

Es gibt Menschen, die haben Angst vor Albträumen, und es gibt Konstantin Gropper. „Ich träume so selten spektakulär, dass solche Albträume für mich wie Inspirationsgeschenke sind. Ich wache auf und denke: daraus muss ich einen Song machen.“ Das hat er. Drei seiner verwirrendsten Träume hat er verarbeitet und drum herum ein ganzes Album („The Horror“) voller orchestraler Musik über die Angst geschaffen, das seine Hörer zunächst weich bettet, nur um sie dann in umso abgründigere Sphären zu entführen.
Die drei Songs „Nightmare No 1 (Collapse)“, „Nightmare No 2 (Dinner at Carinhall)“ und „Nightmare No 3 (Strangled)“ bilden den persönlichen Ausgangspunkt von „The Horror“, indem sie Groppers Albträume nacherzählen. Gropper lässt sich nicht von seinen Albträumen heimsuchen, er betrachtet sie neugierig und schmückt sie aus, bis sich ihr Horror langsam, aber eindringlich entfaltet.
Mit einer exklusiven und einzigartigen Umsetzung der Stücke sind Get Well Soon beim Reeperbahn Festival in der St. Michaelis Kirche zu Gast. Mit dem kanadischen Künstler Sam Vance-Law und der australischen Singer- Songwriterin Kat Frankie werden zwei Gesangs-Gäste des Albums im Hamburger Michel erstmals live auftreten.
Einen weiteren exklusiven Höhepunkt bilden die „Nightmare-Varations“. Die Songs „Nightmare No 1-3“ werden zunächst von der Get Well Soon Big Band gespielt und anschließend jeweils neu interpretiert: von einem Bläser-Quartett, & u.a. vom Vater des Kopfes der Band, Walter Gropper, welcher die Orgel der St. Michaelis Kirche bespielt.
